What can i do to lower my cholesterol??

I just got a 207 score. I am in my early 40's and am relatively healthy.

Jane you are an idiot and i dont need or appreciate you disparaging comments. I am perfectly healthy except one test should my cholesterol to be high. The rest of the tests all came out fine.

Walk 15 minutes at least three times a week, more if you can. This will help speed up your metabolism and burn calories faster.

Change your eating habits and stick to a low-fat meal plan that works for you. Cook healthy food at home more frequently than eating out.

Select lean cuts of meat, fish and poultry. Substitute side items such as pasta and rice with a healthy salad. Use a nutrition book to learn facts about different foods.

Take flaxseed oil vitamins or garlic tablets daily to lower cholesterol. Grocery stores and health food markets carry these vitamins.

Drink six 8 oz. glasses of water per day to cleanse and hydrate the body.

Avoid saturated and trans fats. These are the worst things for you to eat and they build up the bad (LDL) cholesterol. Processed foods are loaded with trans fats. If you see "hydrogenated" anywhere in the ingredients, don't eat it.

WHY do you want to lower your cholesterol??????

WHYDON'T YOU CARE about the things that CAUSE coronary artery disease and why are you distracted with the farcical anti cholesterol paraigm?

Cholesterol does NOT cause coronary artery disease - AT ALL.

YOU should worry about having elevated fasting blood sugar, stress, blood pressure, homocysteine, poor nitric oxide levels

You should look into Dr. Uffe Ravnskov, Dr. Malcolm Kendrick and the 80 scientists from THINCS warning the public that the anti cholesterol theory is scientifically unfounded

You should by angry by now and confront your doctor. .

Cholesterol of 207 is GREAT. Cholesterol will not cause heart disease, but can be an indicator of vessel damage. Vessel damage comes from following the diet advise of the food pyramid. Cut carbs, trans-fats, and processed foods. Live long.

The doctors will tell you to get lots of exercise like walking and running and eat less meat and more foods high in fiber.
Then if it doesn't come down in a year you get cholesterol lowering drugs.

fiber, healthy eating, oatmeal, cheerios, fish oil, there are other medication that help cholesterol, and exercising.
