I just found that HDL Cholesterol is good for heart. But does it means actually Suggest Please?


during my recent read at http://www.ReadAboutHealth.Com I read an article which states that "Ideally, you should try to raise your good cholesterol level if you want to have a healthy heart."

There is a lot of misinformation going around about cholesterol and how it plays a role in heart disease. It is true that cholesterol can build up in the arteries and if you reduce the amount that is being produced in the liver or as some suggest, reduce your intake of cholesterol in the food you eat, you will be healthier.

If all you are concerned about is the amount of cholesterol in your arteries, that statement may be true. But, 85% of the cholesterol in your body is made in your liver. Cholesterol does not cause heart disease, it is placed in your arteries due to inflammation. If you get rid of the inflammation, the cholesterol is not deposited, no matter how much is made in your liver or what you eat. They conveniently left that part of the explanation out.

LDL cholesterol is Low Density Lipid Protein that is a transporter. It is sent by the body to the site of inflammation to repair the damage. There are 2 types of LDL cholesterol. Only one is bad; that is pattern 2. Pattern 1 LDL cholesterol is good and necessary for many functions in the body to keep it healthy. When you reduce that, you are damaging many of your body's functions and you will not be as healthy.

HDL is High Density Lipid Protein that is called the "good" cholesterol.

So the LDL is sent to the site of inflammation to repair damaged arterial walls and the HDL is what carries the spent LDL cholesterol back to the liver so it can be reconjugated and reused by the body. Now why would the body reuse something that was bad for it? It wouldn't.

So again, the drug companies and medical people want you to believe that treating the symptom and not the "root cause" of heart disease, you are going to be better off.

Of course, it's much easier to do that than fix the inflammation problem because doctors do not understand nutrition and how the body works nutritionally. If they did, maybe they would take the time to fix the root cause and eliminate heart disease, instead of treating the symptoms and generating huge profits for the drug companies.

Your heart is a muscle. It gets it's energy from saturated fats. It requires calcium and other nutrients to make it healthy. I suggest you go see a Certified Nutritional Therapist to test you for specific nutrient deficiencies you may have and to recommend a diet and supplementation to make you healthy. Your body has an innate intelligence that knows exactly what to do, if you give it all the good food and nutrients it needs and keep the toxins out of it. The SAD diet Americans eat will not make you healthy. (SAD = Standard American Diet).

It's a vast subject and a lot of findings/researches are in progress to address the situation and generate an awareness among peoples sufferings from Heart Ailments. I had an Heart Attack about 8 years back; gone through Angiography had 3 blockages( 30 - 70%). Yes, high HDL Cholesterol is good for Heart and high LDL is bad for Heart.I have understood the basic things to control this elements of Cholesterol. Exercises raises HDL, where as smoking lowers it. Stress management training will lower LDL independent of diet.
So the best combination for reversing Heart Disease is to exercise, stop smoking, eat a very balanced diet(low fat low calorie) if possible Vegetarian diet.

Cholesterol does not cause coronary artery disease at all
