High cholesterol HELP?


My cholesterol is high.My L.D.L. which is the bad cholesterol is155 and myH.D.L.which is the good cholesterol is only 32. How do i bring up my H.D.L. without going on meds? i've heard so much about diets and exercise.i 'm having another blood test in three months.If i do alot of walking do you think my H.D.L. will go up?

I have a similar problem. First,you should eat more salmon and use olive oil for cooking! Also take Omega 3 fish oil capsules and slow release niacin which you can buy at the Health Food Store (slow release so that you don't get the flushing). Exercise is very, very important too - yes the walking will help. I hope this helps.

walking, stay away from red meat, greasy foods, lobster which are high in cholesterol. Eating oatmeal is also very helpful.
