By using statin drugs how long would it take to lower total cholesterol from 270 to 200?

There is no medical reason to artificially lower your cholesterol. You can lower it in a couple of weeks to a month. You will also lower your body's immune system, many brain chemicals, your CoQ10 levels, your testosterone levels, your life expectancy, etc. Such a deal.

Impossible to say. It depends on your unique metabolism, which statin and how much. In general, I'd say you could drop down that far in 6 months if you were using a higher dose of something like Atorvastatin (40+mg/d)

Keep in mind that statins are maintenance drugs. If you stop taking them your cholesterol will shoot right back up to where it was before you took them over the course of about six weeks.

Mine took 3 months to drop to half of what it was...now its perfect!
