Cholesterol blood test..I am predisposed to Diabetes? |
How do these numbers look? These are my results. I should mention that both my parents are diabetic, so I try and take care of myself Cholesterol - 126 Triglyceride - 133 HDL(Good Cholesterol) - 27 LDL(Bad Cholesterol) - 72 Chol/HDL Ratio - 4.7 Glucose, Plasma - 82 Actually, it looks pretty good, but lay off the sugary stuff. high cholesteral could be an indicator to diabetes but it could also indicate heart disease, etc. since both of your parents are diabetic, you have a high risk of developing the disease yourself, but don't despair. having diabetes isn't that bad if you take care of yourself, eat a healthy diet, exercise, and enjoy life. make sure you control your diabetes so it doesn't control you. uncontrolled diabetes can be painful with its many complications. start exercising and incorporating a healthy meal plan NOW! you will feel much better in the long run. good luck |
