Why the hell did persons focus on ONE ingredient in atherosclerotic plaque that does not even comprise that much of it?

HARD FIBROUS SCAR TISSUE DOES. It is like saying salt and pepper are the ingredients for meatballs.

yes I am aware of this the hard way.I had a heart attack at 40 years of age. was stented and went on my merry way.until I had a second heart attack at 45 years of age. through a heart cath.they found my right coronary artery completely blocked from the top of the stent to the bottom of the artery but not with the type of plaque caused by cholesterol. This plaque consists of mainly calcium deposits. the artery was so badly clogged that a bypass was not possible.
i am now in the third stage of heart failure due to the fact without blood supply to the right side of my heart,my heart won't pump hard enough to supply me with enough oxygen to do just the smallest of chores,like walking any great distance.
this disease is hereditary not to mention i smoked like a freight train for 30 years.
As for why only touch on one ingredient of coronary artery disease it was probably because cholesterol is the top preventable cause of CAD.
