I have a dilemma. I need to gain weight but i have to watch my cholesterol and blood sugar, any suggestions.?

I'm lifting weights 4 or 5 times a week, i'm on a body builders diet, eating 5 or 6 small meals a day, and drinking protein shakes. But without the fat and sugar it is hard to consume the 3000 or more calories a day that i need to pack on muscle.

If the foods in your diet are good along with the number of meals then good for you. However you still need the good fats and i will not comment on the suger because i do not know your medical condition.

You should go "very heavy" with your weights and your reps should be maybe 10, 8, 6, 4 or to that effect, just keep it heavy and always try to increase the weight each workout if possable. Also, limit your cardio to 20 minutes 3 times a week. Good luck.
try consulting a dietician..
A couple of things to try:

Add another meal or two. Try for 6 meals a day.

Add an extra 100 calories to each meal. You can do it with slightly larger portions of what you are currently eating.
