Does any one know about this medicine called Liv 52 and if it helps lower cholesterol levels?

I have a cholesterol level of 244 and was wondering if anyone knows if a medicine called Liv 52 has helped anyone

Liv 52 makes no claims to treat high cholesterol but supposedly helps liver function. If you want to treat high cholesterol and don't want to take a statin drug like Lipitor or Pravachol, then look into red rice yeast which is a natural source of statin compounds. You would still need blood work and evaluation by a physician to make sure the red rice yeast was working and that you were not taking too much.

You can also reduce your cholesterol by about 10% by starting each day with a big bowl of real oatmeal.
