Are these symptoms consistant with Chronic fatigue syndrome?

I have a stressful job and have also had difficulty getting quality sleep for a few years now. I am tired every day and wake up tired. I have been experiencing gradual symptoms over time. I am now tired, lightheaded, have discomfort behind my eyes, have trouble focusing at times, have weakness and general malaise. I also suffer with seasonal allergies and frequently have congested sinuses during the night and early morning hours. Are these symptoms consistant with Chronic fatigue syndrome? Please advise. Thank you.

Stress can do so many strange things to the body! As for your sleeping, there are 3 new medications available that are not habit-forming. Ambien CR not only puts you to sleep, but KEEPS you asleep. The other two are Lunesta and Rozerem.
I think it's time for you to see a doctor and tell him/her exactly what you wrote in your question. I really think there IS help for you. Good luck! :)

My advise is to go to an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist and get your nose and sinuses looked at. If you can't breath properly, you will always be tired. There are treatments that a specialist can do like freezing and using radio waves to relieve congestion. Your stressed, because you are not getting a restfull sleep and can't concentrate doing the day with sinus pressure.

I agree with the first guy. Stress can do intense crap to your body. try relaxing. take time out of your day to lay in a quiet room. Sleep, read, listen to calming music, etc. Do NOT watch TV. it just gets your mind racing and that is not what we are looking for here. Do not think about work or other stresful things. Give it a few weeks. I have chronic fatigue and it sucks. There is no real way to explain the kind of tired you are. You aren't tired because you were just exercising, because you didn't sleep, you are just tired. try reliving stress before you go down the path of chronic fatigue. You don't want to go down that. If you really do have it, it sounds like the early stages. Fight it off. and be glad you caught it early. My mom didn't get it diagnosed untill she had had this for years.

good luck and stay healthy.

also, try multi vitamins high in Vit C and/or B

Gotu kola is good for everyone! It will generally turn you into a calmer and more relaxed person.
