"You can do anything for fifteen minutes"

Check out flylady.net. I know it is about keeping a house clean, but it's also about routines.

There are some great hints like getting up and getting dressed all the way to lace-up shoes.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear that you have this problem. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a complicated disease but it is best to treat the person and not the label. Everyone with CFS will be different although they usually have certain things in common.

Many have low thyroid and need thyroid hormone medication to function. With CFS you cannot rely on the standard blood tests which do not test for free T3. In some cases although the thyroid hormone in the blood appears normal it is not functioning so you need more. You need to find a doctor who understands about low thyroid in CFS.

It is common to have weak adrenal glands and you may have low cortisol in the mornings so you cannot get up. A functional medicine doctor or nutritionist who specializes in CFS can check the adrenal hormone output with saliva tests.

Adrenal support and thyroid support if needed should help you get up in the morning. No amount of routine will help you get up if they are low although regular and enough rest is important.

You will probably need more than iron. Magnesium is often low but again everyone has different deficiencies. Some with CFS get magnesium injections. A good multi vitamin and mineral can help.

A good diet is one with plenty of fresh vegetables, fruit, free range poultry and a little red meat, whole grains, nuts and seeds.
Avoid processed foods, additives, sugar and foods containing it, hydrogenated fats, heated oils, coffee and alcohol. Drink plenty of filtered water.

Many people with CFS have improved with detox and cleansing. You don't have to starve or eat unusual foods.
