Are there any support groups for families of people with chronic fatigue syndrome?


My wife was recently diagnosed with Epstein-Barr virus. this virus causes mononucleosis, chronic fatigue and even spleen rupture. I can find support groups for her, but I can't find one to help me take care of her. any suggestions?

i haven't heard of any real life support groups, but you could always try www.foggyfriends.org i'm a member there and they have sections for carers, friends, and family members. everybody there is really friendly and there are a lot of carers there. i actually have chronic fatigue syndrome. the only downside is most of the people on this site are in the UK and so you can't join in their gatherings that they sometimes have. unless you are in the UK, then that isn't as much of a problem for you.
I don't know of any support groups, but I have a business in the health and wellness industry, and this comes up on a regular basis. Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia seem to be running rampant these days mainly due to inflammation. We have regular conference calls in our business and often Doctor's speak about how they treat their CF and Fibro patients using these phytonutrients, flavenoids and polysaccharides, and are finding that perhaps they cannot 'cure' these people, but they can lessen their symptoms up to 100%. It's all about turning the blood from acidic to alkalide. I find these calls very interesting and I learn a lot from them, which I can put to use in helping other people.
