Do you get paid for going on clinical trials?

i am thinking of signing up for a velocardio facial syndrome

case study for and here the link

**its not to specific whether you get paid or not i need help?

http://clinicaltrials.gov/

For most clinical trials, you get paid. There are exceptions, and generally the shorter the trial, the lesser the pay. It should say on the specific trial information, whether or not you will be reimbrused, and if so, how much.

Check out this website, this guy does CT's for a living and explains exactly how to participate in them: http://www.jalr.org/?cnn=yes

Most clinical trials do offer compensation but the clinical trials that are studying the ability of a drug to cure a condition usually offer very little compensation, having access to the drug and free health care are usually enough to make participating a good idea.

Phase I trials, however, are the first trials that are done with new drugs in humans. These trials are not aimed at determining how effective a drug is, instead their goal is to determine the correct dosing and whether there are any side effects of the drug (is it safe, essentially).

So if you are considering a clinical trial for velocardio facial syndrome you should expect that you probably won't get much in the way of compensation, but you should receive good medical care and access to a new therapy that you otherwise would not have access to.

Good luck in the trial, we hope that you recover well. You can always search for other clinical trials that are available on http://www.clinicalconnection.com and other sites like that.

Most of the descriptions don't mention compensation because it's usually small, but if you have the condition and are cured for free, isn't that reward enough? Usually though, there is a small stipend to help cover your expenses. That will be covered when you meet with whoever is doing the work.
