Am I a canidate for clinical trials?

My mom and sister died from breast cancer that went to their bones. I am 39 years old and have mammograms yearly, but is there any clinical trials I can be involved in, or is that for people that already have cancer? If so, how do I go about doing this?

Clinical trials are large scale experiments designed to test the efficacy of a new drug against a particular disease. Since you are healthy, you have no disease requiring treatment. Therefore, there is no reason for you to participate in a clinical trial.

In the event that you were to develop cancer, which will hopefully never happen, then your best chance for long term survival is to undergo standard treatment for your particular type and stage illness. This may include surgery, chemo, and/or radiation. Only if you did not respond to a variety of standard treatments, then you might consider participating in the clinical trial of a new cancer drug.

You need to understand that 99% of all cancers come from INFECTION(s) in the body. Yes, you can get tested to see if you have the BRCA 1 gene problem that has been shown to be the culprit genetically, in breast cancer, but realize that something has to trigger that gene. It is far more productive to focus on becoming outrageously healthy than fear of getting cancer. I would NEVER subject myself to any clinical trials the medical profession is doing. Their approach to cancer is abominable at best. All you have to do is look at the statistics and how cancer is fast becoming the second place killer of ALL Americans just below prescription drugs, medical malpractice, and doctor induced illnesses that killed over 786,000 people last year.

Chemotherapy is NOT effective in breast cancer and this is a well known fact.

Many breast cancers stem from bad dental work where infections breed due to root canals, amalgam fillings, extractions, etc. It takes about 8 - 10 years to develop breast cancer and most of it stems from biofilms produced at infection sites around the body. The lack of essential fatty acids in good balance have been shown to be another root cause of this problem. Since the body stores toxins in fat tissue to protect your vital organs, it only makes sense that bad digestion is another target of focus. The breast are primarily fatty tissue.

good luck to you

I've researched many trials just out of curiosity and never found one that took in a perfectly healthy person, even though cancer ran in the family. Doesn't mean there's not something out there, just I've not been able to find one. Trials are for new drugs or using certain drugs for different diseases and they wouldn't be giving you any drugs for a disease you don't have. Just keep a check on yourself with your breast exams.

there certainly are trials that you may participate in. the place to look would be www.clinicaltrials.gov. this is the main website for all clinical trials around the world.

Every trial has their own requirements. You can find out by checking here.
