Am on Prozac 20 mg for 4 days, can I just stop it cold turkey?

Or should I taper down for few days?

I had Lexapro before, it was wonderful except it given me a strong teeth pain that i couldnt bear. Prozac is different, its making me act cold and brainless.

With only 4 days and a low starter dose, yes, you could stop it "cold turkey" with no ill effects whatsoever. It's not even had a chance to build to therapeutic levels at this point.

If you're stopping b/c you think it isn't working...don't. You need to give it at least 4-6 weeks before you can truly evaluate whether or not it is effective for you.

Never, never, never, never, never stop taking your medicine unless the doc that prescribed it for you tells you you can stop because he would have to gradually lower your dosage. I wouldn't recommend doing it on your own.

Why do you want to stop it anyway?These pills arent meant to be stopped and started.If you are suffering side effects,its a better idea to consult your doctor and see what he/she suggests is the best thing to do,it might be that they try you on another pill.

Ask you Doc. But why do u want to stop it? Talk to the doctor who prescribed it about your problems with it.

With only 4 days you should be ok....But i would call your doctor First

I tried this I don't recomend it. take yourself of gradually
