How is a fast way to get rid of a cold sore on your lip? Use abreeva it's a little expensive but it really works. it can be bought over the counter. I've used carmex all my life and its a great product for i'ts purpose but abreeva works alot faster use carmex between applications of abreeva I swear by Carmex. The sooner you start applying it at the very first sign, the better. Use the wax one in the small container. Keep applying it and you will stop it in it's tracks.
