How to get rid of a cold ?

I've got a really sore throat and my nose is streaming (sorry) i also keep sneezing ..i have a drama assessment on monday (tis friday evening) how do i get rid of it or reduce symptoms (apart from lemony drinks already know that one!)
thanks!
xx

1) Chicken Soup -- homemake (Best) or Campbell's (cool) drink it till it is coming out your ears (not for real). but you get my point. Drink the fat and all, make sure it is hot, Morning noon and night.

2) Take cold meds, ie. Tylenol PLUS Thera-Flu (at bedtime, drink Thera-Flu while in bed, then get covered and you must be warm (even sweaty-but you MUST STAY COVERED). DO NOT have a cool/chilly room or bed.

3) Lots of rest - 8 -10 hrs!!!! IF YOU WAKE UP DURING THE NIGHT TAKE SOME MORE MEDS AND THERA-FLU AND GET BACK IN BED, A.S.A.P.

4) THIS WORKS FOR ME - I HAVE DONE THIS MANY TIMES OVER THE LAST 10YRS. There are a few yrs that I will not get colds, But if I'm around lots of people....as soon as I get that feeling I start my meds.

5) Hot Shower -- at Bedtime -- Vicks on chest --once you're out - get covered immediately go to bed with Hot cup of Thera-Flu.

6) Feel Better Soon :-)

Oh dear, you're up a pickle with this. I'm sorry to hear that you're ailing. All I can recommend is over the counter symptom relievers. A cold takes 7-14 days to run through your body. You can try eucalyptus oil in a hot shower. It'll lessen the severity of your running nose. Hope you feel better soon. And wash your hands a lot!

you cant just get rid of a cold (its not possible)
all you can do is keep taking lemon drinks try to rest as much as possible and just hope its at least a little better by mon.

Good luck x

You could take medicine like Buckley's things like that.
Get lots of rest and keep drinking fluids.

That vicks vapor rub stuff works pretty well. I'm sick right now too! It sucks. I have a concert tomorrow! =/ Feel better.
