What is the best way to get rid of the cold/flu?

I am really ill and I hav got 2 go college on monday , I need a remedy and fast.

Both have to just run their course. You can treat the symptoms to make yourself feel a little better. Tylenol helps with body aches and fever. A hot bath will also help with body aches. Long lasting nasal spray will help with a stuffy nose, and gargling with salt water or using Cloroseptic throat spray will help a sore throat. Eat lightly, drink plenty of fluids, and get plenty of rest. Your body needs rest and some nourishment to fight off infection. Stay away from others and wash your hands often. Taking any more vitamin C than the daily required amount is useless, as the body does not store it and it is flushed from the body.

The bad thing about the cold and flu is that it is caused by a virus, which is bad because viruses are not easily destroyed by your body's natural defenses or by antibiotics at all. I am not a doctor, but I say that you should drink plenty of fluids, as they will help kill the virus. If you are really sick, do not go to college at all as you might infect your friends and other students.

above is correct- colds are caused by a virus- drink lots of Non-alcoholic fluids(water, gator aid, cranberry juice) -and REST. If you are still sick Monday-do not go to class- you will expose everyone else to your sickness. If you have the flu(vomiting/diarhea/achiness/fever)- then you can get Tamiflu, if caught early- which will less the symptoms(go to the infirmary @ school)-but you still need the fluids and rest and let it run it's course. When you are up-disinfect evreything you touch-so you will not pass it on or reinfect yourself.

Unfortunately, the flu and common are viruses and only your bodies natural defense system can fight them off.
However, things like Vitamin C and rest, along with moderate intake of fluids will lessen the symptoms of the illness.
