Why is it so cold in my house in mornings? |
everytime we wake up in morning at 7am it is cold i nthe house even tho heating has been on from 6am. we have loft and wall insulation and double glazing so why is it cold? Are you radiators sized right , are they sludged up , is your pump running ok ,has your boiler being serviced , there are lots of reasons , to many to go through , you should get someone in to check out all for you , may cost a few quid but you will save it back in fuel costs Cold is relative. If you have been sleeping under a nice comforter all night then the temperature in the bed is near body temperature. The air in the house is not. It will be set at what the thermostat requires, supposing a normal house with a good heating system. Body temperature is in the low 90s. Let us assume that in the bed your surrounding temperature is 80. If the room temperature is at 72, a reasonable temperature. Then you will feel cold when you get out of bed. Hey, move around, get your blood circulating, take a shower. It all works out. I don't HAVE the heating on yet! Is your house built on a concrete slab? If it is that will heat your house in the summer and cool it in the winter unfortunatly. could be a few things, have you cleaned the filter recently? If the filter isn't clean it can affect the efficiency of your heating. Also are the vents open? How big is your house? We set ours at intervals too, basically start an hour before waking up and turn off when we leave work...turn back on 30 min before we get home and turn it low when we sleep. 65 during morning and day, 60 while sleeping Move to TEXAS, it is still in the 90s, well except right now it is 89 because i'm here in BEAUMONT TEXAS and IKE will be here not in Galveston, in about 4 hrs. sorry gotta go finish boarding up the windows. i live in minnesota, and i don't turn the heat on until october or november. probably because nobody has been walking around creating heat pressure on the ground. Or, your roof could be letting cold air in that is because you have been sleeping all night. i suggest set the thermostat to 77. Because the coldest part of the day is right before dawn...so your house will be the coldest then as well. maybe its cold outside...turn the heat up...or wear a sweater...perhaps a blanket cuss you wake up warm in the morning lol becuz the heater is turned off at night It is my belief that you have ghost dwelling in your home! You should look for an exorcist. set it for an hour earlier brainiac! because of the coldness of the night? do u have tile flooring? close your windows |
