I have a buzzing in my ear dat wont go away. was this caused my cold?

was this caused by my cold? its been goin on for the last couple of days. whats wrong? its startin to worry me

The buzzing sound is called tinnitus.In your case,as you had a prior cold,so the buzzing sound is due to that.It is due to blockage of left Eustachian tube.It is a membrane lined tube that connects the middle ear space to the back of the nose.Its main purpose is to check the ear pressure changes in the middle ear.

Inhale plenty of steam and take some nasal decongestants for 5-6 days.Also use saline nasal sprays and Try chewing gum the next time it happens or doing valsalva maneuver(Done by taking a deep breath and blowing while pinching your nostrils and closing your mouth).If still the symptoms persist then pls consult an ENT surgeon
