Can genitals herpies be on your lip like a cold sore?

Yes. Cold sores and genital herpes can be the same strain of herpes simplex. So, if you perform oral sex on someone when you have a cold sore, they can contract genital herpes (and vice versa).

coldsores can be transmitted to the genitals via oral sex with or without symptoms present making it genital herpes type 1, at no point in time will hsv-1 turn into hsv -2.

hsv-2 is ussually transmitted through intercourse, but if there is a visible sore and comes into contact with your partners mouth then it can be transmitted to their mouth, making it oral hsv-2 (which is very rare)
