Will pouring peroxide in your ear cure the common cold?

I have read that pouring a couple drops of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide will cure a cold... is this true? Does anyone know of any good remedies? Thanks!

NO, hydrogen peroxide will NOT cure the common cold. In fact, it only kills about 30% of the germs in your mouth and damages tissue in the process. Dentists use this and it is NOT a good sanitizer for how they use it.

There are about 200 rhino viruses that cause the cold. The only way you can get a cold is to have the germ enter your body through your eye tear duct or your nose. If you kiss someone with a cold, you won't get it. Touching a surface with the cold virus on it and then touching your nose or your eye is how you get it.

If someone sneezes on you and you are farther than 3 feet away, the germ will not reach you due to it's weight. Everyone touches their nose or eyes every 4 hours typically. That is why if you wash your hands frequently, you reduce the chance of getting a cold.

If you feel you are coming down with a cold, at the first sign, you need to start taking "Nucleotides" every 1/2 hour all day. The next day, you will not have the cold. That is the best preventative solution.

good luck to you

No, pouring it in your ear will help your ears out though. My husband does it when he gets a headache in his sinuses and it works very well.

Curing the cold needs to be done with antivirals - Vit A, Vit C, Oil of Oregano, Tea Tree Oil, Olive Leaf extract and others. Add some Vit D while you are at it. Cut out sugar too, as this stresses the immune system.

Hydrogen peroxide does not damage tissues when used as a mouth rinse, btw. That is a myth perpetuated by allopathic care. Hydrogen peroxide is actually the preferred rinse for those with periodontal disease. An hydrogen peroxide/baking soda combo for dental health has actually been shown to reverse periodontal disease and save people's teeth!!

Great resource for info on H2O2 is "Hydrogen Peroxide: Medical Miracle" written by William Campbell Douglass II, MD (yes, allopathic Dr. at that!)

I doubt it. Peroxide is meant to kill bacteria, but not intended to cure the common cold.

Good remedies -- sure.

One good method is prevention. I wash my hands often, especially when I'm around people that have been sick. When you feel like you're getting sick, take some cold/flu medicine the night before.

Lots of fruit juices, water, sleep.

There is no cure for the cold.

You can only treat the symptoms.
