What is the best way to unclog your ears when you have the cold?

last night or usually when i get the cold i blow my nose then my ears are clogged. It is so annoying! Whats a good technique to unclog them?

Lol this is a trick my dad thought me.
Hold your nose shut with your fingers so that you can't breathe through them, then try to breathe through them, still holding them shut. Then swallow the air in your mouth. The air will go to your ears and unclog them. Works for me.
