Why are we not immune to colds? |
Why are things like colds different than something like chicken pox that you don't usually get again. the common cold is not so common there are billions of "colds" the evolve and change all the time so you never get the same cold twice its always different I beleive the link could be with all the bad foods: sugar, white flour, preservatives and artificial sweetners that compromise our immune systems-causing them to have to 'wear itself out', keeping us up and running. I haven't had a cold in many moons, because, I beleive I eat mostly raw foods in salads, whole grains, NO cow milk-mucus, only soy or nut milks-you can make yourself, organic nuts, plain water, fruits and I do food combining (Harvey Diamond-Fit for Life-you can find it at library or used-book store)-where you make it easier on your digestion to digest foods-and, not work against your body. Fruits in the morning before noon-then vegies with starch/rice etc but, no protein. Protein with vegies only-its a change from the way we eat-but if you check this out-the digestive enzymes to digest protein and starch are different and neutralize each other-and the food literally rots in your body-and, stay for days and days-yuk! you get sick and weak etc. eating that way. I wish I had been eating this way all my life-its cheaper, too. Only organic meat etc, too. We can not build up immunity to colds because there or so many kinds of cold germs. over 400 different ones. Each time we get a cold out immune system builds antibody's to fight it, and the next time this type comes around our body is prepared to do battle in advance If we lived to be 600 we could over come the common cold. That is if we caught a cold once a year. We are not immune to the "common cold" because NO human can EVER get the SAME cold TWICE! There are multiple branches of the common cold, so that's why we get it so often. There is different germs that come with a cold at the same time. Too many different germs cause colds. |
