Building immunity from colds and sore throats? |
I get very frequent and painful throat infections. what are some foods or vitamins that boost your immunity? Anything high in anti-oxidants will be good I reckon; so stuff like blueberries, black grapes, spinach, green tea, kale, kiwi fruit etc. But the key is to mix different colours of fruit and veg as much as you can. I'm dubious about taking supplements because they're often flushed through the body or have to be taken with certain foods to enable absorption so aim to get all your dietary requirement from the food you eat. To give your body a fighting chance also cut down your intake of processed foods because these upset the delicate balance within the body. If you get a lot of infections, there may be some long term problem - get it checked out. You need to wash your hands more often and especially before you touch any where near your mouth and wash before you eat since the food is going into your mouth. I use echinaforce a herbal remiedey after I caught the mumps and glandular fever! heres a link I'd recommend a daily multivitamin and a vitamin c supplement. Also, I've noticed that if I keep a regular workout routine, I get sick less frequently. Take homeopathic treatment and always take steam at morning and evening . |
