Why is nose blocked worse in the early hour in flu or colds? |
I have noticed that if I come down with something, that it is when I go to bed that the blocked nose is worst. It does not make any difference if I go to sleep or not and whether I am lying down or not; but something I have noticed is that blocked noses are at the most severe between about 3 and 5am. During the day at about 1pm to 4pm, it is at its least severe. Being active helps, but often I am awake all night and have to go to sleep during the day to aviod sleeping when the nose is too blocked and this does work. How? one word: Buggers!!! |
