If cold happens cause of a viral attack then why having a cold bath or drenching in the rain causes cold ?? It doesn't cause a cold. People can be weakend if they get cold and then they are prone to viral attacks. If you are strong you will be OK. Anything that makes you cold or tired weakens your immune system and a weak immune system is open to colds and flus. That's Only a Myth so don't believe that. Colds are indeed caused by a virus but if you are drenched and cold then your resistance is low so your body has to work harder to fight viruses Jeff getting cold weakens your immune system, and it cant work properly, causing any germs you come in contact with to invade your body Okay lady's and gents...the secret to that is when it rains children play in the rain and that doesn't necessarily mean they will catch a cold, but if their body temperature drops to low, than their immune system gets weak and when it gets weak, the body becomes susceptible to the virus that causes colds. You can get wet and play in the rain all you want to, just watch the temperature and know when to stop and dry up and children do not know this. They want to play, play and play until they get sick., Immunity is compromised when you are cold. But if you don't have the virus, and you are cold, you will not get sick. Normally, people get the cold and fight it, and you don't even know you had it. You only get sick if your immunity can't deal with the infection in time. Getting cold may weaken your immune system, but you would have to be cold and near bacteria at the same time in order for you to have a chance of catching anything. Being cold, or cold and wet, does not make you sick. Your body coming into contact with bacteria makes you sick, such as through your hands, mouth, nose, and eyes. |
