Do cold tablets prolong the life of a cold?


I have some cold tablets at home that are meant to stop your nose dripping? Will taking these make my cold last longer? It would be great if somebody could provide a reference. Thanks :)

They have no affect whatsoever on the cold virus itself. Cold tablets are just designed to relieve symptoms while the virus lasts.
only in as much as taking tablets for a symptom isn't curing the cause.
