My one year old has a cold in her eye does anyone know any home remedies to cure it?


Her eyelid is red and swollen slightly, her eye is real watery and when she sleeps her eye gets closed shut with sleepers. I usually have to hold a warm rag on her eye before she can open it. Her doctor said it has to run its course but I can't believe theres nothing I can do. If anyone has any suggestions they will be appreciated. Thanks.

Just keep applying the warm compress several times a day and make sure her eye stays clean. It will clear up.

sounds like viral pink eye, in this situation antibiotics would not be helpful (though in some cases antiviral eyedrops are available). continue with the warm compresses, be sure NOT to share wash clothes or towels being the fact that it is very contagious
