Should i quit cold turkey or ween off??? |
cymbalta...60 mg....... you definitely need to ween off. I am doing the exact same thing right now. I had originally been on 60mg but felt very disconnected so I was then prescribed 40mg. Recently my doctor and I have decided to stop the medication. My dose is now 20mg for 3 months and then nothing. Just cutting my dose in half gave me some pretty crappy withdrawal symptoms for the first couple of days. You'll be a lot better off if you ween yourself off. Taper down!!! No question...go with the doc's recommendation here. Should be a gradually smaller dose until you're off completely over the next few weeks/months...depending on how long you've been on and other factors. Screw with this at your mental peril. Talk to the one who proscribed it to you and they will probably come up with a way to gently ease yourself off it don't quit cold turkey please!! you would get horrific side effect problems! ween the beasts of. cold turkey aint so good. i hate turkey That's something you should discuss with your doctor. Some people can have adverse reactions to quitting using any type of medication, and in some cases, it's necessary to start taking the meds again. Your health isn't something you want to mess with. |
