Cold sores again? |
ok i used this one medicine that dried my lip out and turned my scab a greenish yellow and it looks really nasty. my cold sore is gone but he scab is like half of my lip now should i jus rip the scab off and let it reheal cuz this green scab is disgusting looking or just let it heal? or is there anything i can use to heal the scab faster or what i dont want a green lip anymore plz help The best way is to just leave it alone for now. Next time you feel a cold sore coming on Just take about 4 L-lysine tablets and keep taking them a couple of times a day, for a few days. They are quite safe. A pharmacist told me about it. To keep them at bay take one or two every day. It really helps. Also if you do get one try a product called Nyal Cold Sore cream, readily available from Aust supermarkets. There are much dearer ones on the market, but this works best for me. Use this stuff called Lip Medex by Blistex you can find it at any drugstore and it healed my problem. The only advice I have for you is if you rip the scab off then it can scar and come back looking worse so try the stuff first and if that dont work then try some heavy duty stuff like Abreva =D Experience you can rip it off ...but then it might last longer and it might scar ...soo my advise would be to put neosporin on it a lot of times a day im not sure how much is affective but when my coldsore is totally gone and its just a scab (you can tell because instrad of puss there is blood if you happen to pick it) i just use neosporin but if theres still part of the coldsore you should stilll you use the medice ...its really friggin hard to find what works for you ive had them all my life and i get huge ones like the size of a quarter and then best thing to do is as soon as you feel it start to tingle and get a little red put abriva or perscription denivir on it just once and it wont even form ...even if your not sure i would just put it on to be safe ...but for you case i probly would peel off the scab i know its bad but if you peel it off it will just be red and bleed hopefuly there is no coldsore virus left ...but good luck and i hope they come up with a friggen cure sometime Lysine is the answer for cold sores. A Yahoo search for lysine + "cold sores" will tell you much more. |
