Why do we feel cold when we are about to die? |
Why do we feel cold when we are about to die? People who are within hours or minutes from death almost feel hot to the touch because their blood has severely decreased it's circulation...blood begins to pool in the extremeties...the hands, legs, feet, and at the same time the body's temperature fights to elevate itself, and often results in a fever. Internally, the person who is about to die probably feels cold, due to the fever. After death, the person feels cold to the touch. All functions of the body have ceased. Source(s): I was with my grandmother continuously during her last hours right up until the time her natural death at the age of 94. This is what I observed for myself, and also what the nurses explained to me was happening to her. How would you know? Because your body is shuting down. It would have to depend on how you were dying but I would guess that it had something to do with blood loss which is basically the body's heating system. Cause hell is frozen over. bcoz............... |
