Why is my skin always cold?

My skin has a purple tint to it (I'm very pale skinned, I don't know if that has something to do with it) and is constantly cold... even when I don't feel cold. People don't hesitate to tell me that I'm dead cold to the touch, either. Sometimes my skin goes blotchy and it doesn't look pretty... Why is this and is there anyway I can get rid of the purple and make my skin a normal tempurature?

Hmmm, I forgot to add that I am in good health, I'm not skinny. As for my genetics, everyone in my family knows nothing of it.

What you are describing is decreased blood circulation to the skin. The blotchiness and purple tint is called capillary pooling. Are you a nervous person? That could be the reason for the problem. If not Ginkgo could help.See your doctor to rule out any medical cause that may require treatment.

you might have poor circulation to your skin or poor circulation in general due to genetics. You might be really skinny and feel cold all the time. Running might help you increase vascularization and so might putting on some weight.

I have that too! except I dont have a purple tint! my hands and feet are always cold even if it's 110 degrees outside! weird huh?

sound like you have poor ceralation in you body you can try iron and please go and see your doctor if your are not getting the blood in your hands and feet then you could be low on blood and not getting blood to your heart and brain like you need . i just had to have a heart operation becouse of a hole and now my feet and hands don't turn purple and cold to the touch

I'm cold myself my body is a lower temperature than others and my hands go white when I'm cold and red when its hot out i think its circulation trouble go to a doctor maybe they can explain it
