What are the simptoms of colon cancer? |
What are the simptoms of colon cancer? Unfortunately, colon cancer frequently does not have many symptoms. When people do have symptoms the common ones would be: rectal bleeding (blood in or on your poop); change in the size or frequency of you stools; abdominal pain; fatigue from anemia (low blood count). If you are concerned, you should see you doctor. If indicated there are a variety of tests that can be done (these are explained in detail in the posted link). They would include a blood count (to see if you have anemia); fecal hem-occult test (test for blood in the stool); X-rays (barium enema and virtual colonoscopy); endoscopy (taking a look inside with a camera sigmoidoscopy [part of your colon] or colonoscopy [all of your colon]). You may not need any tests. Source(s): http://www.cancer.org/docroot/lrn/lrn_0....
