Ok to do an enima with colon cancer? |
Ok to do an enima with colon cancer? Eeeeesh...Not very safe. See, your colon is already irritated because it has tumors in it. It may also be fragilized in some places. An enema can be pretty stressful for even an heathy colon. What you risk is intestinal perforation, and subsequent peritonitis (infection). If you are on chemo or radiotherapy, you are probably neutropenic, ie at high risk of infection. Peritonitis on a cancer patient is a perilous complication that can very well be fatal. In other words, I wouldn't do it unless advised to do so by a very competent medical doctor, and it was urgently required for some very clear reason. Is it ok do enima with colon cancer? Ask your doctor. I suppose. It depends onwhere the colon cancer is located/ You really should ask your oncologist. Ask your doctor first. Colon cancer survivor |
