I have colon cancer, stage 1, how long before chance of death without treatment?

I have colon cancer, stage 1, how long before chance of death without treatment?

That's a pretty strange question. Why would you go through the diagnostics, find out you have cancer, and then do nothing about it?

A stage I colon cancer is curable with surgery. If it spreads at all, your chance of cure is greatly decreased. If it spreads to other organs, there IS no cure. How long it takes to spread depends on how aggressive your tumor is.

Call a surgeon. Take care of it now.

You should not ask people that don't know this question. You should have ask the doctor. Did you tell the doctor you did not want any treatment. It seams strange you don't know the answer to your question. The reason I am telling you this I have colon cancer and it has spread to my lungs I had a long talk with the doctors I was told the treatments would kill me before the cancer would so they told me I have 3months to 2 years right now I am half way to 2 years I hope to prove them wrong and live a long life sure I have days I don't feel good. I am under hospic I have a nurse that checks on me once a week they have me on a morphine patch for my pain.

I am curious as to why you are not getting treatment if its in the first stages? Can I recommend as a person who has seen someone go through this to get treated.
I had a very dear friend she was like my mother last yr die of untreated colon cancer. I believe she only lived for a yr.
The reason she did not get treatment was because she was over 70 and basically scared to hear the diagnosis.
By the time she got diagnosed she was having profuse bleeding from the rectum. And it was very painful for her family and friends to see her this way. However it was her wish to not be treated.

Not sure since there are so many variables but I do know there are things you can do naturally that will help but you should still seek medical attention as well.

Since it's your colon, I would think some good fiber would help as well. Check with a nutritionist that specializes in cancer.

Why not treat it? The odds are greatly in you favor. Surgery is not all that bad and you may not need chemo at this early stage. If you are scared that is normal. If all goes well you should have no problem living a normal life.

Get the treatment, you have a very good chance of survival with stage 1 cancer, why go through the pain and agony when there is hope this can be successfully treated. Good Luck to you.

sorry to hear............a lot of variables..................depends on how much and how fast it spreads...................need treatment.......the sooner the better
