Nobody on yahoo answers can accurately diagnose what is going wrong. A doctor needs to see you to correctly diagnose what is going wrong. This will only happen if you invite your doctor to help you (by booking an appointment to see your GP).

Book an appointment to see your doctor now, and ask to be referred to the hospital for an endoscopy and / or CT and MRI scan. You may not have cancer; your symptoms could be caused by something else. Don't just let your doctor give you a prescription for hemorrhoids or something else minor, ask to be referred to the hospital for a full examination. Every week lost in getting a full and correct diagnosis is a risk that things could get worse, longer to treat or even reduce the speed or your chances of recovery. The earlier any treatment starts the greater the chance of recovery.

Your symptoms could be caused by conditions other than cancer of the bowel, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or ulcerative colitis. It is essential that you are checked by your doctor and referred to the hospital for a full and correct diagnosis.

Do not delay in contacting your doctor.

The sooner you contact your doctor and get your scans done, the sooner that you can get reassurance if you do not have cancer. Whether or not you have got cancer, you describe symptoms that indicate that something is going seriously wrong, and you need a correct diagnosis that can lead to the correct treatment.

There is reliable and unreliable information on the internet. I was diagnosed with cancer last November, and my hospital recommended http://www.cancerbackup.org.uk as a reliable source of information from Macmillan.

The symptoms you describe fit the possibility of cancer, but you may not have cancer, since these symptoms could have another cause. You must not attempt to self diagnose, (you are probably not a doctor!), but take a look at one of the web pages from cancerbackup ... http://www.cancerbackup.org.uk/Cancertyp...

Advice from cancerbackup "If you have symptoms that don鈥檛 improve within a few weeks, or if your symptoms are getting worse, it is important that you are referred to a specialist for tests to find out what the problem is."

No one here can diagnose you, but I can tell you that you need to see a doctor. Bloody stools are very serious symptoms. Are they symptoms of colon cancer? Yes. However, they are symptoms of other things as well that need to be checked out ASAP.

Rectal bleeding IS a sign of colon cancer... that is the first thing they ask when considering it. (regarding the post above me).

Signs and symptoms of colon cancer include:

* A change in your bowel habits, including diarrhea or constipation or a change in the consistency of your stool for more than a couple of weeks
* Rectal bleeding or blood in your stool
* Persistent abdominal discomfort, such as cramps, gas or pain
* Abdominal pain with a bowel movement
* A feeling that your bowel doesn't empty completely
* Weakness or fatigue
* Unexplained weight loss

See a doctor!

You need to go in to your nearest walk in clinic as soon as possible for an evaluation. Any bleeding lasting for two weeks is something to be concerned about. Vomiting blood could mean a bleeding ulcer in the stomach or a problem in the lungs. Rectal bleeding could be from bleeding somewhere in the colon. If you're feeling weak, then your blood counts are probably low too. Please get off the Internet and have someone drive you over to the nearest walk in clinic. Good luck.

Let me say at the outset that I am not a doctor. Your situation can be a sign of many things. Constipation can be the cause of some bleeding, but you have too many symptoms to assume that that is the problem. If I was experiencing what you are I would most assuredly see your doctor as soon as possible. Visits to the doctor can always be a little disconcerting, but please go for your own peace of mind.

My husband had piles for quite some time before he had actual colon cancer. Every time he bled he would dismiss it as another case of hemmoroids. And by the time it was diagonosed it was too late. You should go to a doc immediately and get a colonoscopy done to rule it out. No harm in getting one done, it will give you peace of mind.

No that is not colon cancer. Symptoms do not resemble colon cancer. If it were just rectal bleeding I would say hemorrhoid, no worries. But vomiting blood is 100% of the time a sign of something very bad. You don't vomit blood unless you have a major health issue. Go to the Dr. immediately.

You are describing internal bleeding and that is very, very serious. In fact, it can be life-threatening. You don't need to call your doctor, you need to be going to an emergency room and you need to do it now. Please don't put it off. You are very ill.
