Colon cancer am i at risk?!!!!!!? |
for awhile now my bowel movments have been from everyday to every other day to once a week.. i notice everytime i go there is blood after on the tissue not in the bowl tho. somtimes when i havent gone is days and i try it comes out real narrow and small.. in the summer of 2008 i lost 35lbs..i did not diet or exersize often so i wonderd why. What is the reason for the blood i mainly would like to know and should i see my doctor about this also are the chances high it is colon cancer? im 20yrs old it started about a year and a half ago poss earlyer. :( Everyone is at risk, but you don鈥檛 have it. Colon cancer doesn鈥檛 present this way, it is rare in someone your age and if you had it with symptoms starting over a year ago there would be no doubt in your mind about it now. There are several things that cause rectal bleeding, anal fissures, polyps, hemorrhoids, diverticulosis, etc. I have had the sme problem hun and I dont believe its colon cancer, I think what the problem is is that you are constipated and when that happens you strain and it causes hemmorids and when you pass a bm and the hemmroids are swollen it cause s them to bleed and it gets on the tissue... if it were actually in your stool then you would have a reaso to worry hun... just drink more water, nothing cleans out your system like water! ;) Anytime you have unexplained bleeding, it should be reported to your Dr. There could be several reasons for this. You could have strained yourself when having a bowel movement which could cause some blood on the tissue, OR you may have hemmorhoids that have become irritated. This too, will cause blood to show on your tissue. yeah my bowel movements were very irregular too You don't mention your diet. I am guessing it is low in fibre and you don't drink enough water. Hi, firstly please don't worry but I definitely would go to your gp just to get a check up and to put your mind at rest. |
