How do you know when you got colon cancer?

How do you know when you got colon cancer?

Many patients who are diagnosed with colon cancer have frequent episodes of diarrhea and sometime it alternates with constipation. Almost all patients who have it also have blood in thier stool, and in many cases A LOT of it. Some patients also experience loss of appetite and weight loss.

When my brother was diagnosed at age 36, he had problems with a lot of blood in the toilet afet BM. Like the water was RED.

If you have symptoms of colon cancer please go to your dr and get a referral to a GI specialist. You will have to undergo a colonoscopy. The test is not that bad, just the day before. But it is worth the peace of mind. Best wishes.

You don't know for sure until you are diagnosed!

The only definitive way is to get a colonoscopy!

Bleeding would probably be your first clue, but other things like hemorrhoids can cause that. It would be hard to notice unless you get colonoscopies done regularly.
