Im at wits end! contraception help!!!? |
I've had enough. I've tried the Implanon, it gave me spotting non stop for months, i have tried about 5-7 different types of pills, all gave me spotting and made me feel sick and bloated.... what else is there that is practical and has less sid effects.... please DONT offer advice on pills, thanks. i've been using nuvaring for about a year now, and haven't had any bad side-affects. maybe the first week i was a little moody because of the change in hormones, but after that, it's like i don't even have to worry about it. you put the ring in (your doctor will tell you when to do this), you wear it for 3 weeks, take it out a week (this is when you'll have your period) and then start the cycle over again. so easy and you only have to remember a couple of times a month. im really sensitive too but i have been taking Alesse for the last four months (a low dose pill) and have not had too many problems. the first two months my period was not regular and lasted over a week, and i had a lot of breast tenderness and some bloating, but i stuck it out since i am also sick of trying different things, and the side effects have since gone away. no more bloating, breast pain, or irregular periods. and no more condoms! lol Try and IUD, coil inserted into opening of cervix.......you don't even know it is there, and it is inserted in a quick visit. I'm so sorry that you are having difficulty with contraception methods. It took me about 5 different types of pills before I came across the one that worked for me (Estrostep FE). It sucks because hormones effect every woman differently (what might be right for me may be terrible for you). Depending on how regular you are with your monthly cycle, you could try the calendar method. However, this is risky. I've heard that IUD's seem to work, but I think you need to have had children. I suggest you talk to your doctor (also you may need a second opinion) about the difficulty you are having. I hope you find a method that works for you! |
