What form of contraception would you woman out there reccomend?

sumthing other then the pill..?

ive got the implant it works 4 3 yrs its made me have irregular n heavvy periods tho but my friend has 1 a year. u can just 4get bout it easier than remembering to have a pill at the same time everyday x

The pill always worked for me. Never failed.

i wouldnt say the pill i took it every day, very adamantly, and at the same time, and im 6months pregnant...

Depends on your circumstances, health, risk factors (smoking, age) whether or not you already have kids etc.

After years of struggling with hormonal contraception (the pill, injections etc.) I had a copper coil fitted and love it! But the coil can make peoples periods heavier.

I would recommend you visit your local family planning clinic and get some advice from the nurses there who can assess your individual profile and discuss options with you.

The implant in the arm. I have been on the pill, it made me ill, changed pill got worse! I'm also allergic to latex and someother material, so I cant use condoms. I used non-latex ones and the also irriated me.

I'm a bad case when it comes to contaception, no wonder i'm pregnant lol.

nah my pregnancy isnt a mistake, just something that happend!

I would personally go for an IUD it only takes about 10 minutes to put in and it's effective right away!!

If you don't want to go for that- I would go for TWO forms of birth control at all times personally- condoms & either the pill/shot/patch/something..

I was on Depo & got the shot the first possible date each time, had a baby girl.. Then I got on the pill- I took my pill religously the same time every day never missed a day, got pregnant with that too another girl..

EVERYONE is different though..

it really depends on what you are most comfortable with and if you are in a monogomous relationship or if you are using contraception just incase. if your not in a relationship or if either of you havnt been tested for sti's i would always use a condom and either the pill/coil/rod/injection etc. and if your not at risk of stis i would use one of the above mentioned contraceptives without a condom

I'd go for the pill all the way but it all depends on your body i had to try several different brands and types of pill before i found the one that was compatible with my hormones that i use now :-)

ive always been on the pill , im expecting baby num 3! i certainly dont want anymore babysandim 30 in june ive decided that after the baby is born im going to be sterilized i did think bout the coil but a few women i know who have gotten pregnant on the coil

Emma t - i'm allergic to latex too!

You could try the mirena coil, it can be left in for 5 years or removed when you want to start trying for another baby (if you want to). As it has a lower dose of hormone than the pill, when it is removed you can start trying straight away as your body doesnt have to adjust so much

an IUD!!!!

xxx

i was on the pill made me feel really sick, had the coill fitted fantastic, a bit uncomfortable having it fitted but worth it no more pill taking

i got pregnant on the pill.

i had the implant for a year and never got pregnant. it needs to be changed every 3-5 years

but it works wonders and you dont even know its there. i will be getting it again.

took it out to have a baby, but went on the pill for a while longer and got pregnant that way. by accident. should not have taken it out. lol

implant messed with my periods abit but nothing too bad you have it in for 3 yrs you dont need to worry at all about getting pregnant

I would recommend the Depo Provera Injection. You get a shot every 3 months. I was on it for 15 yrs due to the pill giving me migranes. I never had any side affects or anything and the best thing about it was I never got my periods at all, (depo stopped them) which I thought was great. It's probably the best/ safest form of contraception. Hope that helps.
