A question about contraception methods?

My body does not respond well to the pill, and I do not want to use shots or surgery to prevent pregnancy. Basically I don't really want to go to a doctor, I'm looking for more of a drug-store item.

We obviously want to use (male) condoms...but would it be better to buy condoms with spermicide, or buy condoms, and then seperatly buy spermicide? The only thing I've heard of is the VCF Contraceptive Film. Has anyone tried this out with a condom, and how did it go? Or any suggestions on brands of spermicide?

Thanks so much

do NOT get spermicide it irritates the vagina really really bad! all it really is is like soapy dish water honestly. but obviously thats not what it really is but it acts like it. you wouldnt want soapy dishwater in your vagina right?

Condoms are around 98% effective when used properly, be careful when opening the packet and putting on the condom that you don't tear it. As soon as the man has ejaculated he must withdraw holding on to the condom to ensure it does not slip off. I don't think spermicide is necessary if you are using the condom properly but if you would rather use it I would go for condoms with spermicide rather than seperate as it is just less hassle in the heat of the moment.
