Do Liberals Prefer Abortion to Contraception?

Do Liberals Prefer Abortion to Contraception?

Contraception is a lot more fun if you ask me...

Liberals prefer contraception and access to information about sex education and contraception. Abortion should be legal, but a last resort.

It is the conservative faction that wants to deny information about contraception, deny that people actually have sex and sometimes accidents happen. They are content to let pharmacists chose not to fill prescriptions for birth control or Plan B. They want abstinence to be the only form of birth control, though in the case of Bristol Palin, we know that it doesn't always work.

Conservatives are also a strange bunch. Their concern begins and ends with the fetus, though even then, they have no problems denying proper prenatal care to poor women. But once that baby is born, they could care less. Strange situation - they claim to love life, but once life is for real, such as after birth, they slam the door in the baby's face.

Absolutely not. I prefer education.
I get real sick and tired of conservative Republicans talking about how they don't want the government in "their business",
but continue to try and get in mine. Abortion is not something to be taken lightly and I don't know anyone who does. This is between a woman, a man, if he's around, her doctor and God, if she believes in God. Abortion is legal and should remain so. Adopt, foster, mentor all the throwaway kids that people don't want. The living ones. That's what all you "PROLIFERS" could do with all the time you spend judging people. IMHO.

Contraception is better than abortion

Best thing to me is
1) better education--some schools have programs where kids(teens) have to take care of a "baby" for a week

2) Make contraceptives more available to teens and young adults

I don't like abortion butr feel it must be a woman's right to choose. If we as a society tell a woman that she can't have an abortion then what's next? if we overturn Roe v Wade does that open the door for the government to tell women that they have to keep a baby or worse yet, they have to abort a baby?

we prefer contraception and a woman's right to choose abortion, it should not be used as birth control. unfortuantely if we completely ban ALL abortions, we will see a huge increase in back alley abortions. it's just common sense to regulate it than completely ban it unless we want women to use wire hangers to do the job themselves.

conservatives routinely attempt to constrict access to contraception. mccain himself voted against a bill that would require insurance companies to cover birth control. conservatives also support abstinence only education which is proven to increase rates of teenage pregnancy and std infection. guess what happens to some of those unwanted teenage pregnancies?

the point is that if access to contraception is easier, cheaper, and has no stigma attached (the christian right attempts to demonize sexuality and pretends like demonizing contraception will result in less sex), the amount of unwanted pregnancies and therefore abortions decreases. it's as simple as that.

No. Being pro-choice does not make one pro-abortion. How hard is that to understand? Seriously! For instance. I am a liberal, and damn proud of it. Personally, I am pro-life because I believe in the sanctity of life. Politically, I am pro-choice because I realize the social consequences if abortion were to be made illegal. Get it?

In fact, I would prefer that people use protection, get better sex education, and avoid unwanted pregnancies. This would help reduce abortions!

Absolutely not. We'd like nothing better than good information on contraception to be available to everyone so abortion wouldn't even be an issue. That means that sex education needs to include info on birth control.

A lot of conservatives believe that contraception is just as bad as abortion. Preventing a life is as bad as taking a life.

i prefer contraception, but the pill is only 99% effective, as i found out! i did choose to have my daughter, but atleast i had a choice.

One would reach that conclusion in view of the hype about abortion. It would be so very simple to _prevent_ conception rather than to commit murder after it.

there are so many different contraception's out there, yet more abortions. I know of a couple of people that have had 3 and 4 abortions, that's not neccessary

I didn't know that you had to be a liberal to get an abortion. You learn something everyday here at YA.

Neither - Liberals prefer you mind your own business. It's about CHOICE & PRIVACY.

No.

My wife uses birth control. I know more conservatives that don't believe in either. One just had her third baby in three years.

No. Not at all. In fact liberals are more likely to be on the pill. I know conservatives that believe that birth control kills babies and is evil.

No, but Republicans prefer no contraception which leads to pregnancy and no abortion!

No,and liberals aren't the only ones who get abortions either.

No, but someone should abort you. The limit's normally 20 weeks, but I'm sure we can me an exception.

Really. Such an ignorant question. Of course not. Idiot.

Huh, I thought abortion is a form of contraception to them?

Oh, of course.

And we like to kick puppies and drown kittens and punch old ladies in the street.

Nope. Talk about ignorance.

No. But last I checked, Conservatives are against both.

nope, do republicans, I know the answer , its rhetorical. what kind of question is this? next

Palin prefers abstinance only.

they are all hypocrites... all of them, each and every single one!!!

No.

Abortion IS a form of Contraception for Liberals.

I don't think they care, they just like to sleep around.

Abort them would be a good idea.
