Is it possible to b pregnant after the surgery of contraception(tube tying).?

my youngest kid is 8 years.this month my period are still late.was suppose to b having period on 1st nov.am worried but happy if am pregnent

My 17 &1/2 year old step-daughter is proof that it doesn't always work. She was "accidentally" conceived 6 years after her mother had surgery. The dr should've tied them tighter.......

I fell pregnant after being steralized and have a fantastic 6 year old daughter as proof.

My tubes were meant to have the titanium clips on but it turned out that, when the proceedure was done, the doctor only closed one tube and forgot the other one!

It was a massive emotional shock (its hard enough getting your head around not having any more children) without suddenly finding you are pregnant again.

I sued the hospital for negligence - and won. No loosers here though - i didn't get much compensation (mainly loss of earnings) but have a beatiful daughter. she may not have been planned but immagining my life without her now is almost impossible.

good luck

Its possible..but not likely. As long as the doctor did it correctly you should be fine. If your currently pregnant after having your tubes tied, you need to contact the doctor that preformed the surgery because your medical cost will most likely be covered.

u could get pregnant and it will be a tubla pregnancy, i got my tubes tied, and if u are to get pregnant u need to go to ER right away because it can kill you, and the baby wont survive

Yes, sometimes surgeries reverse themselves, though it is a rarity. If you're worried about being pregnant, take a test then call your doctor.

there is a slim chance you could get pregnant after having that surgery done yes.

it is rare when you have your tubes tied although there are studies that is has happen.

you could be pregnant

very very rare to the point where u can say no
