Anyone using/used a Persona kit as contraception?

I am thinking of coming of the pill and looking into using the Persona Kit as a more natural method of contraception. Does anyone know can I use it straight after my pill pack has ended or do I need to wait a month or 2? Thanks.

Persona isn't the best option as a form of contraception, if looking for something more natural you would be better off using Fertility Awareness Method which is more reliable at 97% effective and cheaper because you don't have to buy the Persona and the rest of the kit that comes with it, you also will have a better understanding of your menstrual cycle, fertility and body in general which would be benificial all round - http://www.tcoyf.com

If using Persona I'd follow the same rule as with FAM or NFP which would be to wait at least three months before using this as your sole method of contraception, until then use barrier methods - bare in mind too that coming off the pill your menstrual cycle will have to return to normal, the longer it's been suppressed the longer this will take, it may take over a year so your cycles may be a little irregular in the mean time making 'natural' methods a little bit difficult. It may be worth seeing a doctor to see about getting some help with using this method correctly, getting a diaphragm fitted and perhaps getting FAM lessons just to be on the safe side - but be warned, a lot of doctors and nurses can be very ignorant about these methods, I've had everything from funny looks to outright verbal abuse and refusal of treatment.

Even with perfect use, the annal expected rate of pregnancies is 30%. So it's up to you.
There's nothing wrong with using the pill for a long time, won't affect your future fertility, won't cause cancer, even when you take them for 10 years or longer.
There are of course, medical reasons to stop bc, like a heart attact, blood clots.
