How long does it take for the contraception pill to start taking affect? |
I began taking the contraception pill for the first time 2 weeks ago and was wondering when it will become affective if its not already. Play it safe and have your partner use a condom until after your next menstrual cycle starts. Usually after the first month. Check with your doctor Read the instructions that came in the packet. But I seem to remember that it's a week for the ones that i took. Hope that Helps. im sure its 1 month as well to get into your system. use other methods till then and they you should be ok! check with the doctor or nurse though to make sure, some diff kinds might be different! if you take it on the first day of your period then it works straight away any other time then it takes seven days to work no its no already effective and its not for the first month you have to wait until your next period and then after that your OK so please use condoms as well if your planning to do anything You still need to use protection for the first month and then after that it's fine as your body will be used to it but the pill is still not 100% effective though. |
