Depression I need help?

Alright my girlfriend dumped me right before she moved away so now I'm spiraling down in depression anyways that is aside the point. What can I do to make my self relax and take it easy and forget about here. I do have a history of minute depression and it has been horrible today I haven't left my bedroom but I need something to cheer me up. What can I do to make myself feel better or even do something that will get me upbeat and forget about her. It's really hard to move on and I don't know why she dumped me but the chance of me ever seeing her again is a 1% or 1/100 because I can't call her she wont answer and her email address has been canceled. No I haven't been rude or cheating... PLEASE HELP. I haven't thought about suicide but I've gotten dang close with thoughts. this is very hard

Here are some ideas...

get together and talk with your bfs or parents about it

write her a love letter and include a rose

listen to music (not love music)

look at stupid pics of Bush (that always cheers me up LOL)

Its going to be really hard but just start thinking about yourself. Dont think about her or anything to do with her. Get together with some friends and do guy things. Dont call or email her anymore because you arent moving on and everytime she doesnt answer it gives you that swoosh of pain.. I would sugges keeping yourself busy.. play games or study.. take care

get yourself out and take a walk you ll feel at least a little better. :) there other girls out there and im sure your a great guy dont get depressed start working out or come up with a hobbie something you enjoy doing and get your mind off her meet new people!

Just get out of the house and keep yourself busy at every waking moment. If you do this, pretty soon you will be back to normal and ready to find someone else. Good luck!

This too shall pass, my friend.

I know exactly how you feel. It is never easy when a person loses someone that they have invested time and energy into. As for totally forgetting, I'll tell you this, you won't. However, you can do some little "tricks" I call them to give your mind and spirit a lift.

When a person is in depression, their moods are often dark and bleak. The world seems like it is in black and white. You need to connect with bright colored things. Do you paint or draw or photograph? Hobbies have helped me over the many times I felt depressed over something or someone. Getting interested in new things can help as well.

Do you take any anti-depressants or see a therapist or psychiatrist? Medications and therapy is also helpful as well. Some people don't feel comfortable in talking to a therapist, so perhaps you could entrust in talking to a good friend, or one of your closest relatives or your pastor or priest? Sometimes just talking to someone who understands where you are coming from can help too.

I do sincerely hope that you feel better soon. Being depressed is no fun at all. I wish you well. I hope I was some what helpful for you. Good luck.

Hey there. This one caught my attension. I use 2 suffer from depression for years. I never got help with it I just kept my faith & some good friends, but now that I look back I realy which I would of taken the anti-depressants at least. I didnt like the idea of dependency but u will b more leveled with it cause depression is like they say a chemical imbalance. Perhaps the relationship ending was not your fault. It doesnt mean u r a failure. U sound like u r probobly a nice guy. And never ever think u r alone. Cause u r never alone & some poor soul will always have it worse than u. That I can assure u. Get invovled with some hobbies that lighten your spirits & some good friends. Get out of the house. Do not hide away from the world. Or e-mail me if u wanna chat. I think I can give u some good advice & I am a good friend. B well

Don't even think about suicide!!Suicide is selfish and horrible to put your loved ones through.Pray, go for a walk and read a self-help book.Watch some funny shows.Write down all the things that you have in your life and become more greatful.I had my heart broken badly several times, and thought I would NEVER get over it.I am happily married now.God has a plan and purpose for YOUR life, even though we might not always understand His timing or His ways. Do something that takes the focus off you...like help a friend or family member in need.God Bless You.I hope you feel better.Just remember....Great things are in store for you.
