I had a Jack Russel named Mollie. She was the best medicine. There is nothing like the unconditional love of an animal. It has been proven that animals lower your blood pressure.

Absolutely. Just make sure that you also think about your commitment to the pet's well being. If a dog, walk him/her, leave him/her in good loving hands when travelling and.... most importantly solve that depression before your pet dies because it is devastating. My dog died 3 years ago and I still miss him.

After our children grew up and all left the nest, the house was so quiet and empty with just me and my husband. We now have a mini min pin and a black American short hair cat that helps fill the void.
Our mini min pin travels with us wherever we go. She loves to go places.
We live on a farm and the cat is a great mouser, snaker, and companion. She loves the deer and sometimes sits with them at night when they come to graze.
They are a joy to have around. We have to watch ourselves though or we will talk about them like our grand kids.

Yes, absolutely, I had a little dog that I got from a shelter who was a great comfort to me, but 4 years later he was killed by a coyote. So that was difficult to take.

Thankfully, I got a replacement dog right away. But my replacement dog isn't as nice.

I havw two lop ear bunnies named Peanut and Luna. They are so sweet. They make me happy. They also are very calm, but if you are scared, then they will reflect on your emotions and get scared. So, this is how I keep myself calm and happy.
