Okay, I take Zoloft. I know it's for depression, does it help other things as well? I take 100mg of it.? |
I have really BAD anxiety attacks, and I can't take it anymore. Does anybody know any other kinds of strong meds that would help cure anxiety quickly? If so, please tell me. By the way, I take Seroquel and Remeron at night before bedtime. The Remeron makes me go to sleep. Can someone please help me? Thank You! Zoloft is indicated for panic attacks and anxiety too. It takes some weeks for it to work. Since a panic attack generally peaks at 10 minutes and no drug will have an effect that quickly unless it goes directly into the bloodstream, you'll have to endure the attacks until then, I'm afraid, unless you can guess when the attacks will come and take some Xanax 30 minutes before. Remeron has also shown effectiveness in treating anxiety and panic disorders. Seroquel has also recently been approved for anxiety, and it's a strong med. I'm taking 450mg of Wellbutrin a day and I think it's the only one that has benefits other than depression and that's to help stop smoking but I don't smoke, anyway, my psychiatrist prescribed 10mg 2X per day of Valium, that would help, also an inhaler for abnormal breathing during panic attacks. I hope this helps, ask him to prescribe Valium and an inhaler.Edit I also take Abilify and Lamictal. Ask your doctor about Abilify it is also prescribed for sleep disorders. the only effective thing i have found for anxiety is weed. dr.s here in manitoba are getting pretty lenient with prescribing it, but i dunno abt where you live. since weed is decriminalized here and cheap, i find it worth the risk to buy or grow, it helped me to return to a reasonably normal life after having horrendous anxiety for a few years. You're in luck. My ssters take Zoloft, and i take seroquel at night as well. I know a lot obout meds. For anxiety attacks, first you should ask a doctor. Otherwise you could try Lamictal or Symbalta. Zoloft is mostly for depression, but depending on the dosage it can help the anxiety too. Be carefull messing with your meds though. I hope this helps a bit. Post again if you have more questions. i take lexapro and xanax for my anxiety, 20 mg lex and 2 grams xanax, and getting put on more meds thursday. i would try xanax or lexapro, it hleps me a bit. See a Dr. to switch your medication until something works for you relaxes the nerves, could help you sleep and focus. nopers Mixed with alchol its probably quite fun.. probably help with boring friday nights. I take Buspar 2X's a day for anxiety. Maybe that will help you. |
