Is a constant feeling of lonliness a sign of depression?

Is a constant feeling of lonliness a sign of depression?

It could be, but it depends, the term depression is sometimes used to describe the normal sadness or low mood people feel if they've had to cope with a stressful problem. Depression is also an illness that is much more severe than the usual sadness, lasting longer then two weeks and starts to effect with other parts of your life, such as relationships, work etc... So it could be, but it would help if you could describe what else is going on for you at the moment... If you could add some extra details, I'd be more then happy to help further!

Yes, it can be. It's not a clinical symptom, but it relates to depressive feelings a lot of the time I'm sure.
