Overcoming self esteem issues and mild depression? |
i have been 'treated' for both in the past...but now it seems like its come back. it is still very mild right now but i can not afford to get medical help. What are differnet things i can do to help with my self esteem issues and depression? These two tend to go hand in hand, as it's depressing to not feel good about one's self. The first and most important thing for you to do is to surround yourself with positive people and be in a place to take in positive messages. Ones of hope and success. Books and audiobooks are a great source. I'm on medication for depression and anxiety. Go to a Holy Ghost filled church and get diliverance There are several books you can read and 12-Step groups you can go to. If you have ever had a family member or someone you love with a drug/alcohol problem, I would recommend AA or NA or Alanon or Naranon. One book comes to mind is "Courage to Change." Also, another one, "Healing the Child Within" is a very good one. Also "Boundaries" as this one helps us to set our boundaries that helps us to regain self esteem. |
